Thanks to Ed George and all who helped and brought their cars! Ed always seems to outdo himself every year. I'm very fortunate to be his neighbor and friend.
Here's some cell phone pictures I took, they 're not the greatest.

More pics.......... I was told the hand lettering done there was a first for the show. It rained on the Olds guys parade since they just had a car lettered for the show. There was a good crowd checking out the Studes.

I chuckle every time I see the handicapped license plate on the Tomato!

That's a real plate, Duane, but it's no longer valid. It was my father's last license plate. He passed away a little over a year ago at age 100, but voluntarily quit driving about seven years ago.

Dad had me sell his 2000 Buick LeSabre at the time. When I sold it, I kept that plate. I gave it to Ted for The Tomato and he keeps updating it with bogus stickers. All in good fun; Ted gets a lot of remarks about it. BP

I had the honor to present a well deserved SDC service award to Cyndi and Ed George (Cyndi was not there) for their work promoting the Studebaker brand. This award would have been presented in Tacoma but Ed was not there. I was asked to bring it to MCACN and present it there. It was my privilege to do so.

In the above photo, Bob Ashton is holding an award from The Studebaker Drivers Club, thanking him for his helping promoting Studebakers at MCACN.

Below, Ted's granddaughter Julie and wife Mary Ann were "in" on the secret and were able to be attend the presentation. Cool beans:

Ted was also in the running for the Chick Magnet award, but it looks like Richard Poe beat him out. We thought Richard's 1964 Challenger S/L [Screaming Lime] Studebaker-powered racer went well with the models' psychedelic dresses. ('Sorry; 'no time to clear this with Richard's wife Rose, who was mysteriously not in attendance! When the cat's away and all that....):

SDCer Gary Wood has located this very 1963 Daytona hardtop race car, Its restoration is well underway. He brought it to the show as far as having been painted:

All day during the show Saturday, November 17, Ed George had arranged for professional sign painter Dave "Ace/Famous Dave" Walters to come to the show and hand-paint the Daytona in its original 1963 livery. It took him all day and into the evening...but by the end of the day, the car was professionally hand-lettered exactly as raced in 1963 and 1964. It was a pleasure to watch Dave work; what a craftsman and such a lost art:

Hale, hale; the gang's all here. "Pretty much" the whole Studebaker contingent at The 2018 Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals, where Ted's 1961 6E Stude truck and The Stude Tomato were displayed prominently in the lobby of the convention center:

Also here in the Hemmings Daily Blog. (Note: The photo in this report is of the 2013 event. That's why the Studebakers seen are Ed George's white Avanti and Eric DeRosa's Rose Mist 1963 R2 Lark Custom are in the one photo. That was the infancy of Studebaker participation.)

WOW, so lime green brings on a couple of beautiful women. Hmm, so far it hasn't worked for my lime green car.
Guess it only works with Studebakers.

                              Very nice, Craig; thanks.

For those wondering RE: Gary Woods' black 1963 Daytona hardtop. The dealership name of Thimmes Motors.

As near as Gary has been able to determine, it is pronounced TIM-iss.

Much as Craig himself doesn't like to be photographed, we did capture him paying rapt attention to how Ed George wanted Craig Van Allman's Ermine White R1 / 4-speed 1963 Daytona hardtop to be positioned. (Craig on the right):
