Can anyone give joe and me guidelines of how the overdrive cases for '40s cars and trucks differ from the later versions? I've got a complete R10 but no idea of the year.

Some of these models of transmissions have a threaded lug on the bottom for the clutch lever support and some are not threaded for different applications. However it would not be too difficult to thread the casting if need be. The electrical components in the OD are interchangeable between 6 and 12 volts, and spedo cable drives can be modified to fit.

I have the transmission you need. How soon do you need it? I usually come to Minnesota for a short time in the summer. I will also be going to South Bend.
you can write me at studepickups at optonline dot net. This is a truck transmission with the shaft that will fit the Champion engine. I am curious about what is wrong with your transmission?

The transmission you describe here is for a Champ Pickup.

I have a three speed od tranny from the pickup that I bought from Joe Hall to use in my CE when I was planning to use the stude v8. I'll sell it for a lot less than I paid him for it.

If your truck has a champ motor the V8 has a different input shaft. I rebuild transmission for your application or can sell you an input shaft that I alter to fit the passenger car transmission. Call me at seven one seven-three 0 eight 1800 for more information.
