Hi
What a fine example of BS hype, consistent with all other advertising copy Volo staff writes for the cars they sell. The implication that it is exclusively rare is just to suck in a rube with too much money.
No where in all the articles I have, including Fred Fox's thorough treatments, covering those '56-'57 President Classics is any limited edition President ever mentioned.
I'll bet that when we finally see the photos of it, that it turns out to be that extremely fine air conditioned, azure and wedgewood blue '57 President Classic offered at Hershey this year for $20K. Check out Leonard Shepard's photos of Hershey elsewhere to see it.

Jeff, this interesting and probably Dick Quinn or someone else really familiar with production can answer this. Cannon and Fox don't address it. Like you I have never heard of this. Thanks for posting

That's odd since I got a very nice deal on a GT Hawk from that museum. They were asking 10K, bought it for 9K, no hype, honest ad and the car was stunning.

JDP/Maryland
63 R2 SuperHawk (Caesar)
spent to date $54664,75
64 R2 GT (Sid)
spent to date $62,439.30
63 Lark 2 door
51 Commander
39 Coupe express

Good point, JP. I'm wondering, having just looked at their website, about the fact that the enterprise is now in "the third generation of same-family ownership." That's all well and good, but sometimes succeeding generations tend to overplay, taking advantage of, the reputation garnered by earlier ones. Just a thought, referencing their $32,000 [:0] R-1/Air 1963 Avanti also in their inventory!

"Exterior: ICE BLUE"
I'm surprized they didn't fudge "IKE BLUE" in this instance!
"Presidential" laughable![
)]
Miscreant adrift in
the BerStuda Triangle
1957 Transtar 1/2ton
1960 Larkvertible V8
1958 Provincial wagon
1953 Commander coupe
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
