Being a Studebaker newbee, I have no sources for parts for my 1949 2r5. Anyone willing to share leads and links? Do any of the major players with online stores have much? How about cross references? Thanks

Follow this link. You will find technical information, a list of vendors and lots more. There are a plethora of Studebaker parts out there and easy to find. Have fun.

This is where you'll find most of them..

For NOS, click the link for Markham Motors. He has more NOS truck parts than anyone else I know of.

For used, try Vern Ediger. His contact page is http://www.papasstudebaker.com/

Get a service and parts manual. Just about every vendor sells by part number.

And don't forget to register your 2R at "http://2rtruck.need-a-geek.com/". On the home page, click on the "Member Sign Up" button to register yourself. Once you're signed up and logged in, you can register your truck(s) and post pictures. Hover over the "Home" button to reveal more interesting information.

Didn't find a parts listing at http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com/index.asp. Is that in the member area?

The blue link in my signature line takes me to the home page of the Registry.

This is the SDC home page. If you click on "Resources" and scroll down to "Other Valuable Links" and then scroll down near the bottom of the page you will find "Studebaker - All In One". Click on that and then click on the link called "Vendors"
Here is a short cut to that site.. . .

Glad you have the parts manuals on order. They make a BIG difference in understanding what goes where and what fits and what does not fit.
