  • Steering: Pitman arm and reach rod required for 1960 lark VIii

Looking for pitman arm and reach rod 1960 lark VIII MANUAL steering. New, used but not abused. Preferably in Canada.

Question - do you not have parts at all, or do you want to change them from one thing to another ?

I ask this because if you've "power steering" and think you need "manual steering parts", you do not. You only need the reach rod, no pitman arm change required.
SI used to have these parts. I know that about a 10 months ago, I bought a Saginaw pitman arm from them (NOS).

Thanx for the quick response. I am changing out the POWER str to manual. SI don't call up these parts in their parts cat ( latest add ) long story why I am changing, but it's going to happen.

SI does not list all their parts in the catalog, especially a lot of the SASCO parts. Call them and have them verify whether they have the parts or not. You will need to provide them with the correct Studebaker part number(s) for what you are looking for.

Out of the Studebaker parts book for your model/year. Every Studebaker owner should have a Parts Manual and a Shop Manual for their car

SI has them hardcopy, and possibly electronically on a disc. Also can find them used on eBay.

I have the parts from the 59 wagon. I removed them & went with a power steering setup from a 63 Cruiser.

Thanx for the response. Scary to have parts shipped to canada with out knowing they will fit. But if you could price them out for me it would be appreciated. Maybe I will have to purchase state side.
