The local Penny Shopper lists 4 Coker wide whitewall radial tires that are 215x50x15 mounted on 1956 Chevy Rims for $250
    1) Will these rims fit my 56 Powerhawk?
    2) will these tires fit my wheel wells?
    They state "almost new"

      No on the rims.
Yes on the tires, if you put them on the right rims.
      Hope the info helps.

Your Hawk takes a 4&1/2 bolt pattern, same as most Ford and Chrysler.
Chevys are 4&3/4. What is Cokers price-new? 'almost new'-quite a variable description!

That is the size everyone recommends for a 'stock' appearance.[205/75/15] You could go larger, especially on the rear. I had 205/75s on my 60 Lark,no problems.

Actually...the "rims" will fit...but the center as welded to those rims will not fit!

As has been noted, most GM uses a 4-3/4", while Stude used the 4-1/2" pattern...simillar to most Ford and Chrysler wheels.
