Slip yoke needed 64 Daytona

What are the odd's of having "Mechanics" yokes and shaft...[}]
as that has been determined what I have. I will be ordering
a complete new shaft/yokes from SASCO, in the morning. It
appears, if we are reading the parts book right, that SASCO
sells a complete shaft/yokes/u-joint as a complete unit.
Can someone tell me, if you can, what the part # is for the
"output shaft seal" (rear seal) is, I don't have access to
the chassis manual right now, hoping that Dennis/SASCO has
those as well or is it something I can get at a FLAPS....I
would rather go with all new than trying to do a modification....

I never did understand that 'propeller shaft' term. Cars don't have a propeller,unless you have one of those little amphibious 'Hawks'[)] So I call it a driveshaft.

Thanks Joseph and Studerich.....

If we're reading the parts book right, Dennis may sell
an entire new set up...drive shaft, u-joints and yokes
all for 1 price in a box and ready to slip in. So I think
I will go that way, rather than using some new with some
old, as it could be more cost effective down the road.

A testimony to check those dry U joints, probably were not checked once since they left the factory.

1st driveshaft from SASCO....is 5 inches too long.

Update....upon calling SASCO and asking about my internet
order for the driveshaft/yoke/u-joints/rear seal. They
were not able to tell me what driveshaft was sent, as it
was 5 inches, without the yoke, too long. So we gave them
the dimensions off the old shaft and said they would get
back to us tomorrow, if they had what I really needed in
stock. Oh yeah....the rear seal, was taped to the outside
of the box and got damaged in shipment....

Not a great day....had I made a mistake on the part#, which
is possible, I did provide the make, model, year, engine and
body type....so if they had a question about whether this
order was correct or not, they could have called me...

Glen, I just spoke to SASCO on your behalf about the drive shaft. You got a part number from someone else and used it order the shaft over the internet and they shipped that part number. You did got the part you asked for, it's just not correct for your car. I know you are disappointed, but the fault does not appear to be with SASCO since they don't check your ordering correctness. .
