  • Carburetor Differences

What is the differences in a Stromburg WW 6-123, 6-123A, 6-123B? I'm sure they subtle but could make a huge difference when it comes to kitting them.

    Randy,

Since the parts book (the Studebaker parts book) shows those 3 carbs using the same repair kit, I don't think it matters.
Further, if you get a kit from NAPA or someplace, you're gonna find that said kit will cover WAY more models than just these three!

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Randy, what Biggs said is spot on, also I noted that these are all '59-'61 high choke models (pre-1962) that have a different choke heater tube and air cleaner than the '62-'64 type of Stromberg WW like: 6-128, 130, 132 which are all low mounted choke models.

I think the different letters are for PCV smog type and non, and for Auto. vs Std. trans. no big deal really. The Calif. and NY '61's had a vacuum tube in the base at the rear, for the crankcase breather tube connection.
