Thanks for the update. When others update their work it's one of the motor-vators that keep me plugging away at my own Stude's issues. cheers, junior.

We used an airtex or something brand direct OEM replacement for the chevy truck. (Like you would buy at autozone or something) that way we the wiring and sending unit would all be the same for the fuel system to work properly. We wouldve loved to use the chevy tank but it was literally 50% larger then the studes. It wouldve never fit. I got a pic of it sitting across the whole back end of the truck.

hey guys, again sorry for the gaps between updates.
its been crazy, with the holidays, and some personal problems, truck was slow going there for awhile. i did however get back in the swing over the weekend.
Well we decided to scrap the idea of using the stock GM wiring harness. There is literally dozens of wires that we just don't know where they go or what they are for. We really just want the correct wiring to run the engine. Also it looks like someone before butchered the wires and tapped into them and changed stuff. We looked at so many charts, schematics and pictures, and they were no help. Luckily there is a few companies that make aftermarket kits to wire up a GM TBI for hot rods and such, Just means more money will be spent than anticipated. Anyway here is a small taste of the wiring nightmare we had.
first this is only like 1/3 of the wiring that came out of the Chevy. Also this is the engine wiring after we removed some stuff, and "organized" it. hahaha. Anyway in a week or so that will be rectified.
We did however get the wiper motor in the mail and after realizing like a dummy i got rid of my old wiper mount, we made a new one and bolted the new electric motor from Newport Engineering
also we got the aluminum fill plate for the radiator support fastened in too.
we also got all the plumbing ran. Upper and Lower radiator hoses, and the transmission cooling lines too.
Then lastly i been starting the laboring task of stripping and sanding the body for body work and primer. My dad has also been fixing the bad rust in the front fenders here is some progress.
as well as getting all the fenders undercoated

hey fellas,
Got a few more pics. The new wiring for the motor came and we got that all hooked up. WE just need to dress it up where it goes into the glove box. Also started doing some major body work. Cutting out cab corners, cutting the door bottoms off. . WE also filled up the radiator and did a few other small jobs
Just gotta hook up the ignition, and fuel wires, Then get a battery located and hooked up and we should be able to start it up soon!
I might have a video if i can manage it.
Also hopefully the front fenders will be back on soon to stay, and it will start looking like a truck again!

hey guys its been a long time since i posted any updates, or pictures. That doesnt mean i havent been busy, just slacking on the picture taking.
We've got all the engine wired up with the exception of the O2 Sensor, and the ECM actually plugged in. But i did get the engine looking nice and pretty with some polished aluminum.
we also been knockin out some serious welding, fiberglassing, stripping paint, and doing some serious body work .
Got the battery box in place behind glove box.
More pics will be coming, gotta figure out whats been done since last time. and plenty of work coming up!

hey guys!!!
Looks like the last time i posted i just got the truck started for the first time, well a TON got done since. I'll try to update in some sort of chronological order in the future, but it was a mad dash from that day in may to the time i got married in september (the truck was in the wedding) But its about 80% done. need to get a bunch done to the interior floors and headliner still. Need to tweek the gas tank, and seat. I want to completely redo the gauges. Need a new idea for a front bumper. Got some transmission work that needs done, and we need to finish the body work a little better, we just slapped alot of band aids on it, hahaha.
I'm sure you guys know there is always more to do, but i'll leave you with a few pics of how she is now, boy is it different!!!
