I'm going through the fuel system on the '58 GH and checking for missing and wrong parts. Some Qs:
I note that the parts book lists a fuel tank specific to the '58 models. Does anyone know what the differences are?
Is the fuel filler cap special for the supercharged models? What does that look like?
Some models apparently came with spring suspension for the right side of the tank. Does anyone know the function of this, and what's the correct arrangement for '58? Seems like it changed a lot.
Should there be rubber insulators between the brackets and the tank flange?
The book calls for a filler grommet (272078) on all models but 56H and J. Is that correct for '58? Does it have a function?
