When installing a new headliner in a 62 GT Hawk, is it necessary to first remove the windsheild or the rear window or both?

The answer is yes. The front and rear glass need to be removed. On my own 62 GT that is how the upholstery shop did it.Frank van Doorn

Some say nay and some say yes The shop manual shows it being done with the f and r windows out. It is easy to then glue the headliner on to the body flange. I like this approach and as far as I'm concerned that is the way I want mine done. Some body will probably chime in on how they stuffed and glued the headliner under the gaskets. Never the less, end result, ya want it to be taught and wrinkle free. This is a good time to replace your old windlace{ before installing your headliner} You know, like they came from the factory. cheers jimmijimsigpicAnything worth doing deserves your best shot.
