  • Body / Glass: HELP! 1955 Studebaker Commander 2 door Sedan- Script location needed.

    Good evening everyone.

    I have a 1955 2 door sedan; its model designation is 16G8F2, a Commander Custom 2door sedan, body # 460.

The Commander scripting was taken off when the paint and bodywork was done from the previous owner a few years back. He had taken out the body seam at that time also.

Attached is a picture of my Commander now, with no body-seam and no scripting -

Some minor exterior work was done after I purchased the car, as well as having all of the drive train gone through and fix what needed to be fixed.

I really can't pinpoint the exact location of the Commander scripting. Are there photographs that show where it belongs? It is going in to the paint shop for minor work in another week or so. I do have the scripting; and would like to provide them this information at that time.

    Thanks-

    Any help is appreciated-

    Hi,

Pictures on the net seem to show it at the front of the rear left wing.

    Have a nice day.
