There are a couple of ironic haha's on the Sherwin Williams website I should make mention of...
At the moment if you search for all Studebaker colors it will only return maybe a little more than a dozen colors, and most of them are the solid basic colors. That's most likely why Omaha Orange is in that mix, it's a pretty simple color. They aren't offering the metallic colors yet for the Studebakers, which I alluded to early for the 64 Larks. However, when I skipped over to the Mercedes Benz colors, they had pages and pages of metallic colors, and of course they have assorted colors to match trim, bumpers, body, or whatever that year, make, and model called for. In that respect if I wanted to change the color on the '55 which is a Rustoleum black with Sunrise Red striping, well the sky is the limit, lol.

Yessum.....
Sherwin Williams also now has an automotive section, so they do supply automotive finishes. It should also be noted that they only list two colors for 63 and four colors for 64, so I cannot get any Bermuda Brown Metallic from their catalogs yet
.
Their 63 and 64 stocks:

Centari Code for Bord. Red.
Found my 2 old paint cans. Same code on each, "97095A H". Later (approx. 6 years old) can is marked "FORD USA."
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Jim B
I believe the Ford color is the one I want. I'm not bound to correctness. I don't intend to sell the car, and I hope my grandson never does.

Talking DuPont Centari here.
18 years ago, when I changed my '64 Cruiser from Bermuda Brown to Bord. Red, the recipe was a fleet color used on England Trucking's (remember when all of their cabs were dark red?) road tractors.
About 6 years ago, when I bought a pint to reshoot a rear fender, it had become a Ford color. I have that can at home and I can post the details tonite or tomorrow.

Sam E,
One helpful site is of course, http://www.raylinrestoration.com/ Well, extremely helpful to me as they have posted no less than FOUR different whites that I need--64 Astra, 64 wheel white, 61-63 Ermine and 62-63 wheel white, as well as 57 Turquoise and 57 Glendale. Green.
Of course, what you might want is something like the 84 Ford colour 3051 Antique Cream as on here: http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorli...-ford-pg06.jpgLast edited by Jim B PEI; 01-20-2011, 07:24 AM.

There were no Cream or even close '64 Daytonas. The '64 White is Astra White, a very slightly Grey/White Color.
The '63 Ermine White is an off-White, slightly to the Yellow side, maybe that is what you want even though incorrect. But no Whites are Yellow, like the Tulip Cream.

I am going in the opposite direction. My 64 Daytona is painted bordeaux red, but the original color was cream. The build order calls for cream, but the1964 cream is more white. I like the old Studebaker color: tulip cream. I asked one of the Shrock Brothers about the "tulip cream" on their boat-tail roadster, and he said it was, I believe, a 1984 Ford color. Anyway, that is the color I want. Anybody have any suggestions?
