  • Tranny makes buzzing noise in Park and Reverse

Likes it's part way in but not quite is how I'd describe it. Sounds fine in N-D-L and feels good in those positions.
Seems to have started when I adjusted the kickdown rod. Does one have anything to do with the others function?

I am experiencing something that may be similar. However, I am beginning to wonder if it is a sloppy starter bendix wandering up to just slightly contact the starter ring. In my case it is inconsistent, changes pitch with acceleration or simply goes away. If you can...try to post an audio. I may do the same, but due to other projects, it will be awhile.

Just low on oil or low oil pressure.

Got nothing to do with the starter...!
Just the regulator valve buzzing or hunting for the right pressure to regulate.

      Note......
Seems to have started when I adjusted the kickdown rod.
      SHOULD be a big hint...

yup, tighten up the rod a little bit, your pressure at idle is too low. (the trans pressure that is, not your engine oil pressure)

Thanks guys, it was low on oil. I had changed the fitting for the line to radiator and forgot to check the fluid. What a dumb a%$. Oh well---

I had a similar issue with a 52 GT Hawk.
The Transmission mounting isolators were shot. Replaced and noise was gone.
