Has anyone seen ,have or know of cute custom vanity licence plates on Studebakers? For example my 58 Packard Hawk read [58 WHAT ]because "What year & kind of car?" questions I recieved.
I also knew of a 64 Avanti R2 4spd. that read [ GOZILLA ] for obvious reasons.Any others out there

How about "RUSTY" or would there be too much of a fight over that one?

I just got "51 STUD" for my 51 Business Coupe... My wife claims I'll get arrested for false advertising...

I've got several on the garage wall that came off Studes. One says "54STUUD" another reads "R63LARK" and yet another reads "ZGTHAWK" That last one - the owners name (I kid you not) was Zane Gray Thomas.

I've got one I picked up at a swap meet - I don't know what make it had run on but it says "CLEAN60"[8D]

Back in the early 80's, when Missouri plates were black with yellow characters, I had "A LEMON" on my black GT (that was because the left front spindle fractured and broke one evening without wrecking the car or killing me) My friends and I thought it was pretty funny, but when I took that car to a zone meet at an amusement park in Lincoln NE, a lot of those folks were downright indignent about it.

Now I settle for "SKYWAY" on the '41 Commander. Nobody outside the Club can figure out what that's about.

When I first got 'Baby' I had "1OFAFEW" (one of a few)~ but as you can see it didn't come off well in CAPS. She now has a Collector plate in sequince with 'Betsy'...

'Sweet Pea' has a plate that reads "SHESA65"~ and even standing there next to those big numbers/letters I still get the question "Hey, what year's your car?" at the gas station!!!!

If you keep them long enough.....
Here's the last three I have had...

Of interest is that you can't specify the 'fancy' plates in Florida and Georgia and still get your special numbers and letters. It's either a regular tag with your choice of letters and numbers, or a special tag and whatever number you get. In Florida you can put in a dash, or a blank space, which is nice. In Georgia, you get no dashes or blank spaces. I think it is because they can't spehl there

I had 63 LARK on the 63 Lark I used to own.

This would be a good one for a 57-61 Hawk, however it was on a Volvo - N2FINS

It's not a Studebaker, but here's one you don't see everyday.
