Anyone know where the temperature sending unit is on a '63 Lark V8? I thought I read that it is on the back of the block on the drivers side. There is a plate there that looks like it has been there a long time. If this is where it should be, we don't quite understand why the previous owners wouldn't have had one hooked up.

Should be on the backside of the passenger side head.
Follow the wire out of the harness to the back of the head.

*driver's* side head! pass side head will just have a blank plate in the same location. It should be threaded into a plate in the same location as the water manifold passage is on the front of the head. The throttle bellcrank attaches to one of the bolt holes for that same plate, not sure whether upper or lower. but hopefully this will get you in the neighborhood.Originally posted by DEEPNHOCK View PostShould be on the backside of the passenger side head.

I think they're all in the same place... gotta get you away from those weird little engines with the temp sender screwed into the manifold :P (or is it the side of the head? I forget. Been a while since I worked on one.)
