Lark rocker panels

I have new rockers for my 62 lark, I see 3 bolts toward the back end. What holds the front? Are they welded? Are these a real pain to change? Thanks!

They are welded. I use a air chisel to remove, then a MIG welder to install.

A small carborundum cutting wheel may remove them with less damage to the floorpans. With either tool [u]</u>WEAR EYE PROTECTION[u]</u>.
And after doing several of these, I said to myself, "Self, wouldn't good quality 3M seam sealer and shallow head stainless sheet metal screws hold this rocker panel in place?"

The door gasket hides the screw heads and, ten years later, it still seems fine.[^]

Let the tirades fly. It takes thick skin to drive nothing but Studebakers for thirty-five years.

I've been looking into this more for my race car than for my Stude, only because my Stude is in great shape. 3M has some great adhesives for bonding different panels together. Most of these were used and designed for bonding plastic/fiberglass panels onto steel space frame vehicles like the Fiero and Lumina APV. These types of structural adhesives have found their ways into new car contruction (door skins onto door shells, roof panels, hoods/deck lids on inner structure, etc.) I was looking into replacing my quater panels with those made of carbonfiber and using adhesives to bond it to the metal structure for strength.
