  • Don't jounce on my bumpers

On the front suspension of my 47 Champ, there are some rubber bumpers that mount on the bottom of the upper A arm where the stud goes throught the A arm and the shock. I think they are called jounce rebound bumpers. Does anyone know where I can get these? SI doesn't list them for this model of car nor does Studebaker online. The stud has to be about 2 to 2 1/2 inches long so I can't use the same ones from the rear suspension.

I see them on page 249 of the S.I. catalog. Listed as 519877 bumper front spring, jounce, 1947-49 all models $12.50 a pc.

Those are for the front but they are not the ones under the upper A arm. There are two sets of bumpers on this model of car. That particular bumper is what would be considered the lower. You might have to see the shop manual to see what I'm talking about.

I looked it up in the chassis manual and what you want is part #517563. I don't show any in my inventory but another vendor might.
