Fishing for ideas about brake pedal going to floor

No, they are not power brakes. I do not know when the master cylinder last received attention (no record). I have had the car for one year, and the only brake related work in the prev. owner's stuff is a wheels off inspection about 2 years ago. I did notice that only 150 miles have been put on it in that time, and the drive home when I bought it was about 40 miles.

I had a similar issue with a 62 Lark with drum brakes, and it disappeared when I adjusted the brake pedal free travel according to the shop manual. Too much or too little free travel
of the linkage before the piston of the MC begins to actually move is bad.
