  • Speedo Cable Routing

What is the correct speedo cable routing through the firewall on a 64 Wagonaire/Lark. Does it have it's own location and grommet or does it travel through adjacent the steering column?

    Thanks

Bill, on my '63 I expected a firewall grommet since the manual call out a part number for one, but... what I found is that the speedo cable was routed under the steering column trim collar and out. In the picture below you can it exiting through the strip-caulk just to the right of the column.

I thought this was wrong when I found it, but others here confirmed that this is the way it's supposed to be.

Thanks Biz...that's where the new one will go, because that's where the old one was, like you, I was thrown off by the listing for a grommet.
