63 Lark - dash pad removal

Before I start this subject task can someone give me some insight about:
How the dash pad is removed?
Are there any after market dash pads?
Can an upholstery shop successfully make one?

I pulled my dash pad off because I am building a new dash, I don't care for the vanity anyway.

My Regal had metal trim that is bolted on, remove that then the pad, which is glued to the dash can be pulled off and the glue sanded or scraped off.
The dash pad itself is foam cut to size and shape. Don't know why you want to do this, but you may be able to repair current damage.

If you want a shop to make a dash pad to resemble the stock piece, I don't think you should remove it. I think Studebaker International has a cap that will fit over the existing dash pad. Try "Just Dashes" for a similar replacement.

Check with an upholstery shop to answer questions as to what they can or cannot do.

Do a search on dash pads. There are several threads that show how people have done their and thry turned out great, unless you don't like the original. Also, several members have replaced the '63 dash with a '64-'66 dash. Just a thought.
