Saginaw Power Steering Pump

I have a Saginaw p/s set up in my Silver Hawk that works OK but in leaks out of the shaft allowing the pulley to sling fluid. Source of rebuild kits, anyone? Or any outfit that rebuilds this unit? Can a newer Bendix pump replace a Saginaw?

that pump was used on many GM cars in the early-mid fifties. Maybe Olds, Pontiac suppliers?

Nothing wrong with the stock pump. You will have to take the pulley off and pop the seal out to check if the shaft is worn or grooved where the seal rides. If the seal surface is good the seals are $3.00 each.

IIRC, several of our Stude vendors carry that seal and you won't have the hassle of wrestling with the FLAPS computer counter kid.
