Anyone have any idea why my hawk burns out signal light flashers?

Check the socket voltage for either 6 or 12 volts, whichever your system is. Then check the bulbs to make sure they are the factory suggested ones or an accurate replacement, and that they are the same voltage rating as your system.

Are you sure you have the right flasher? They are rated according the number of bulbs and their total wattage.

I don't think you are burning the flashers out..
More than likely, the rivets holding the tabs to the fuse-block are getting loose. This causes corrosion, and ultimately the flasher no longer works.. By putting in a "new" flasher... you get enough connection that it will work for awhile..

It's a good idea to really check over the fuse-panel these days. The connectors get brittle, the rivets get loose.. etc...
It's simple enough to remove them and tighten the rivets with a tack-hammer and nail-set.

Not wanting to threadjack, but my 60 Lark has perfectly functioning left turn signals, and dead nothing on the right. All bulbs are OK, and I would guess the flasher is too, as it works on a left turn. Ideas?

Try putting a dedicated ground wire from the parking Light housing to inner fender or frame, even just a jumper wire to see if it has no ground. Check the disconnect at the Right Pk. Lt. Does the Right [u]Parking light</u> work?

Check the dash indicator light and bulb, it also needs to provide the proper resistance to make the flasher work. Does the Indicator work for Left?

Check the wiring and steering column disconnect plug for good connection under the dash where the column wiring meets the main harness, a loose Right Side wire there, will kill it.

If none of these quick fixes help, then I would go into the turn signal switch under the steering wheel.

              I hope this fixes it.
