  • Two steps forward one step back

I've got the welding done on the drivers side of my Champ. When the carpet was pulled back to fix the door post I found the post had also separated from the floor. Both have been fixed and now the door closes properly... and without the whole door post moving!

The plan was to get that done, a bit of reinforcement on the passenger side near the cab mount, and then POR-15 and fiberglass.

However when I started really cleaning things up I found some more of that blasted "No Parking" sign, a bunch more silicon sealer (which I'm starting to hate!) and some real ugliness underneath.

    <center></center>

So I've got some more cutting and welding to do, but at least it's not nearly as bad as the drivers side.

Hang in there Jeff. I would rather be there helping you tomorrow rather than having the root canal scheduled for me. I'm pretty sure you'll have more fun than me.

Thanks John, yes I'm going to hang in there and it's GOT to be a lot more fun than a root canal! I'm really looking forward to doing something more than rust repair though.
