    Where is a good vacuum source to run the wipers on a 1949 Commander. The original source on the bottom of the fuel pump won’t be available as I’m converting to in line electric pump.

    Yeah, they will work that way, IF you have good vacuum, which you will not have if you press the gas pedal. Up hill, no vacuum, down hill lots of vacuum. The fuel pump vacuum port is there to give some vacuum when going up hill, but not much. Unless you are a gotta be stock freak, which I'm guessing you're not with using an electric, use the stock fuel pump with the electric pump. OR, you could use a electric wiper motor.

      You should already be connected from the wiper motor to the Intake Manifold Vacuum, with the Vacuum Pump as a Booster.

        There was a vacuum assist pump available in the day that was plumb into the vacuum line and would come on when the vacuum was low.
