Other: Vacuum Tubes needed for Radio

AM Radio s4927.......does any one have source for the vacuum tubes, i saw an add in Tyrning Wheels for a guy that repairs these old radios, i can do my own repairs, just need new tubes.....the 6X4 rectifier is bad in mine

Just Google "6X4 tube" for many vendors. Here is one:

If the 6X4 is bad, the buffer capacitor is almost certainly bad, too. Replace all the paper capacitors, and the electrolytic filter cap, too.

i could do that but, it's only an AM radio; i have XM/Sirius on mu cell phone....too much work....Thank You

It's a fair bit of work alright, but the expense is trivial.

AW Ha .... moment, the 4-4 6volt vibrator is not doing it's job !! i tapped on it and the 6x4 started to glow ....but my 'bench test' power cables , came loose and that was that
