Electrical: 1963 Avanti power window switches

Does anyone have a source for the drivers door power window switches. I've taken the switches apart in my 63 I believe for the last time as I'm thinking I won't be able to put the switches back together another time. Bud

An early ‘60s Thunderbird switch is the same…other than the lever itself which is chromed rather than beige. You can swap out that part if you Iike.

Any of the '55-'57 Thunderbird Parts vendors will have the switch you are looking for, as well as the chrome bezel and assorted other parts, clips, retainers etc.
Google Mark ll Enterprises..........Sells repro Lincoln parts. They have replacement white "buttons" for the switch. Not exactly the same as what is on an Avanti but very close. A little whiter and the shape is slightly different. In their on line catalog they refer to them as "knobs".

Gunslinger and JLB, Thank you. I knew there had to be a switch that would replace the original switched. I took the original switches apart yesterday and I got them to work, but the contacts in the switches have seen better days. Bud

Many parts used by Studebaker were also used by other carmakers. Having something truly custom and unique drove up costs. It was better to use some industry standard or at least common within the industry that was "dressed" slightly different for a more unique look.

The problem sometimes is to find out what the Studebaker part would interchange with from another maker.
