  • Interior: Packard headliner

It don't hurt to ask. Has anyone out there ever replaced the headliner on a 56 Packard? There isn't anything about a Packard that isn't just flat bizarre--even the headliner!

If you’re looking for a new one, contact Loga Enterprise. I just text him and he does have them.

But Ernie has retired. I do have one, I just don't know how to fasted down the sides. Do I just poke it in the chrome side strip??

He was going too, but he is still taking orders. Perhaps send him a email. He is always willing to help.

If it has a chrome strip it must be a hardtop you are talking about. You will have to unscrew and remove the door flippers and the the rear window upper channels. Then the whole long strip from the windshield to the base of the rear pillar has to come out. The edges of the headliner are glued along the bottom edge of the roof rail and then you just put everything back. If your car has the chrome roof bows, the screws that retain them are under that long front to back strip as well.

Thanks Ross. That's what I was afraid of!
