  • Fuel System: Avanti fuel tank and electric pump installed

Got my tank and electric fuel pump installed. The pre-filter is shown in the pictures while the post filter is mounted along the frame rail where the stock drain is usually located. I covered the fuel hose and the pump with some heat sheathing since the exhaust is so close. Mounted both the filter and pump on rubber mounts to hopefully reduce the noise.

Why did you wrap the rear exhaust pipes??

Did you eliminate the Cool Fuel Re-circulation System at the Mechanical Fuel Pump?
I guess it's an R1, without the Supercharger Pressure equalizer (Reference) line.

It's pretty hard to beat a New Carter Super Pump, NWIWDo.

I wrapped the exhaust where it is close to the body in the rear and the rear brake lines and fuel line. I also wrapped them near the transmission (automatic). The brake and fuel lines are also wrapped with Earls performance flame guard insulation.

The mechanical pump is gone and replaced with a block off plate. It is an R1 and the fuel pump is the recommend one from Holley for the Sniper EFI. (https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...s/parts/12-920)
There is a return line from the EFI to the tank along with a vent line, both in the stock positions for the most part. All the fuel lines are a combination of hard lines and Earls performance vapor guard fuel injection rubber lines.

The shocks are Koni for a 1980 Camaro (https://www.koni-na.com/en-US/NorthA...117&mk=10&mt=1). I had to use the upper mounts from the old Avanti shocks that were on the car when I got it with the new rubber that came with from Koni.

Thanks for the comments and questions,
            Tom
