    A one piece shaft would be the way to go, otherwise you will need to mount a crossmember to hold the carrier bearing.

      Remember Brad, It's a '56 President "Y" Body, not a '63 Hawk so that crossmember etc. should all be in place already.
      With a One Piece, the bottom of the Crossmember will need to be CUT Out.
