I am installing a '60 289 in my Speedster using a Stude to Chevy pattern bell. I will need to use a correct for V8 flywheel that can accommodate a Stude pressure plate. I will be keeping my MY6 Chevy truck 4 sp. OD. I suppose I can use a chevy 10.5" clutch with the Stude pressure plate but I'm not 100% sure it will work. Also, what size PP should I get.

Yes your Chev. 10 1/2 " Disc is the Same as a Stude. it SHOULD also be a 10 Spline, it should work with a 10 1/2" Pressure Plate if the Spring Pressure is enough for a Hi Torque 305 F/P 289, so you just need a '56 to '64 Car V8 Flywheel as you said, do have one?
I don't see a Chev. 6 Truck Trans. Input Shaft working without at least some Machining and an Adapter Bushing though.
I guess you are referring to using the Special, Rare '61 & '62 Clutch Housing for 4 Speed Chevy Case T-10's.
Do Plan on Dialing-in the Clutch Housing centerline to that of your Crankshaft.Last edited by StudeRich; 09-10-2021, 12:13 PM.StudeRich

Yes, the trans. input is a ten spline and I am referring to the T10 bell housing in a '60. No, I don't have a Stude V8 flywheel.Toby Knoll Garage
