Just as a matter of information. The PO of my 5E7 Champ replaced the 11" clutch when he rebuilt the engine. I found some rivets were rubbing on the flywheel and had some one fix the problem on a lathe. I don't know where the parts came from.

What rivets were those, the ones in the Hub? Are you sure the Disc was installed with the "Flywheel Side" to the Flywheel?

It seems to me that early Studebaker 289s used the 62 tooth 9.25 clutch, They didn't go to the 10.5 until '62?

          They were always at least 10.5" on 289, 10" on 259 and 9 1/4" on 232 ('51-'54).
I think by now 2 Months later Studejohnn has it fixed by now.

Ok, I have a dilemma, under ordinary driving conditions (not drag racing or high revs operation) will a 9.25" clutch work ok (hold up) with a mild 289? If I need the 10.5" set up, where can I find a 10.5" flywheel, I understand they are hard to find.

Yes sir, SR. Drove it around the property last week. All the direct gears are there. Helps when the parts match. Really like the short throw on the Indy shifter.

Though a 9.25" setup may be installable, pretty sure you'd be regretting it later because it is just too wimpy for a 289. I''d run a 10" light duty setup though, with no qualms whatsoever. Last thing I'd install would be a HD version of any size setup. Been there - done that, and it is overkill unless you plan to drag race or use it as a gravel truck.

So you have 232 Parts mixed with 289 Parts?
The small Flywheels are from a 232 Engine, and using a 259/289 Flywheel, Pressure Plate and Disc require a '56-'64 Clutch Housing.

Ok, so I guess I am looking for a 10.5" clutch flywheel.
