  • Interior: 1963 GT Hawk Cigarette Lighter Removal and Replacement

Please Help! I have tried almost everything I can to remove the cigarette lighter in my Hawk and it is jammed solid! Anyone have a solution for this? I am at my wits end!!!

Are you trying to remove the complete outer shell or just the Lighter insert?
The shell unscrews from the back to remove it all, if the Lighter element is rusted in, then Penetrant spray would help, but the whole thing needs to come out and be replaced anyway.

Not sure if this photo of the lighter assembly would be any help. The inner "can" screws into the outer "can" as shown.

It's a Standard Cosco Brand Lighter like most Cars, but Studebaker added the Light on the Top of Line Models, not on all Lighters.

Seeing as the dashes were fiberglass wouldn't there be a separate ground lead?
          If you need replacement pieces..http://cascoauto.com/products/power-sources/
