  • 62 289 spark plugs?

I know its been asked and answered before but what spark plugs should I ask for for my 62 289? [I've never been a fan of Champions]. Thanks,

Hmmm...yep, the search button works really well. Not worn out yet!

Note: while there is VERY little difference in plug design or materials in the different brands, until you get into the higher prices spark plugs and this note IS a Champian plug number, I'd bet there is other brand numbers within the same set of threads.
Or, your local shop will have a number for any sort of other brands you may be interested in.

Thanks Mike pardon me for not seeing that the first post dealt with my exact year and size engine. OOOPS

Don't mean to offend anyone but asking more questions but In the post I was dirrected to it lists an Autolite 437 plug. I went this am to purchase some at my local Carquest and was offered a 103 instead. I did not see this number of plug in the old post. Is this plug an acceptable one for my application?

Darryl, Don't know about the "103's", but I picked up a set of Autolite 437's for my V8 this summer at Schucks auto supply, so I know they're still available.

No problem, Darryl, don't ever worry about asking questions. Of course, the search function is there for our use, but asking is perfectly fine as well.

I know some of our more accomplished veterans have answered most every question five hundred times; so I don't see why making it 501 is a big deal. I know repeating things gets boring, but it's part of life. So, ask away![^] If I know the answer I'll give it... and if you ask again next month, I'll answer again! Nuttin' to it
