    Yet another axle question...

    My '63 R1 Daytona w/Twin Traction...would that be a Dana 44 axle? I always assumed it would be (don't know why), but now...I'm not so sure!

    the chunk usually has the information right on it, a tag at the rear.

      Clean off any grease or dirt accumulation on the r/lower flange of the center casting (you would be facing the front of the car) & on there is the number cast in the housing. I have both 27 & 44 twin-traction rear ends, so being a twin-trac doesnt mean its a 44 axle.
