Hey I am restoring a 63 Wagon. Have a question about the trim around the rear windows. Its 5 pieces and I am wondering if I can paint the seperate and get them back in with the new glass or should I put them in whilt in Primer and then paint. Just hoping someone has done this and has a insider hint. Thakns. Jay

You must have a Standard or Regal model with the painted rear 1/4 window mouldings? I would think it could be done either way, but with a big risk of scratching the paint off, if removed for paint.

Either way I would prime AND topcoat them, if you just prime them and install, then when topcoated some prime may show after glass masking.

Another option is, put some Daytona stainless ones on it.

I primed and painted them before installation, only a very little touch up on one of the dog leg piece.
I think my 64 is the same.
