  • 53/54 C/K tail light housings

Can someone confirm, are these housing identical? I know they can be interchanged, but can they be mixed?

I have a couple of 53/54 housings that could be replated. I need a 55. Any 55s to swap?

      Well-it depends

Early 54 Champions used 53 tailights-- but other than that-53-and 54 housings are different as are the lenses

53-54-55/56 all used year specific tailights afaik

Different - yes. Will one type body fit where the other was? - yes. Will the lenses cross-fit the housings - no.

Personally, I like the 54 body and lenses better. They're just more asthetically pleasing.[8D]

That's a '53 TL housing. The 54s have CB 2880 in them. I just looked at some examples I have here.[^]
