    Dumb question...Are the fins on the 58 Packard removeable like the fins on the Hawks are?

    Same body aren't they?? If they come off one they should come off all.

        I'm not talking about the Packard Hawk...just the plane old two door Packard...

          And the Packard Hawk ones are not as easily removable either. the front is welded, and leaded in, as opposed to the inner fin strip coming all the way forward to the front edge like the Golden and Silver Hawks.

            I wouldn't be that awfully surprised if it was the non-Hawk Packard he means...

              I have one and as I recall from trying to exact repairs after a tree fell on the rear end, they are spot welded on. You wouldn't want to remove them and detract from the garishness of of this nice old ride.!
