So are you tired of fighting to get your gas cap on and off?
Well go and order a Stant 10640 and your troubles are over.
Works just like the factory non lockable cap.....with the raised finger turns.

In spite of what the Stant catalog may say, the 10640 cap is the one I sell to all Hawk owners, plus ‘59 - ‘61 Lark (except station wagon) owners. The raised wings are best when reaching through a hinged gas door.

That would be because the Stant 10640 is Just like the Stant Cap they made for OEM Studebaker usage.
Well, all except the Premium Fuel Only Decal.

The serrated outside area of the "standard" Stude cap is a "joke" on an Avanti...outside diameter to large and only a midget can properly get his hands around the cap to remove....this Stant is a blessing:-)

If only the Stant radiator cap on my Ford came off as easily from the aluminum/plastic-tank core;-(
