    Thanks for the addition to the group. I don't currently own a Studebaker but have always appreciated them and visited the museum in South Bend when I lived in Indiana.

    What I'm posting about is an BW R10 Overdrive Unit I have. I can't be certain what's it's from, the PN# on the solenoid is 1119772 that I found out, (on this site), would be for a 56 Stude, (not sure car or truck). It does turn, the actuator lever is free and has remnants of what looks like blue paint on it. Any idea of the value and would there be any interest in it? Not looking to make a killing here, any offer would be + TDB shipping, just would like it to go to someone that could need and use it.

    You only have the planetary and sungear section......only good for parts.
    If you car is ugly then it better be fast.....

      R10's were used on most sixes & V8's. The R11 units were used on the higher powered V8's ( 56-57-58 Golden Hawks)
      64 GT Hawk (K7)
      1970 Avanti (R3)

        Kind of knew that, just hoping someone would have a use for it. Knowing where it came from, a friend of mines Dad was a big Studebaker fan, it was probably pulled in the 50's, or early 60's, and was stored inside, I wouldn't think it has allot of miles on it.

          The Original Turquoise Engine Enamel say's 1956 or 1957. The later is the last year for the fixed Yoke and Two Piece Driveshaft, short tail Transmissions.
