  • Ignition: Buying Ignition/door cylinders 1955 champion

I dropped my ignition key with the door cylinder as well as the trunk cylinder. I have called a couple of times for status updates and I just got a response today telling me that I will need to have 3 keys, because the door/ ignition need different key blanks. It will now take another week for the blank to come in and the tech is going on vacation.

I am irritated with not getting updates and I am thinking about ordering a door/starter ignition cylinder key set.
Is this possible and where? I have looked around with little luck.

Would I be be able to get a set made for a chevy to work?
Are a lot of Studebaker/chevy parts interchangeable?

    Thank you,

I'm fairly sure that Studebaker International has the matched set. There are no Stude-Chev interchanges to speak of. A few Ford things will work (starter solenoid) Parts availabilty for Studebakers is really good compared to some marques such as Buick or Olds. Try google-ing Studebaker parts. Good Luck!
