  • Electrical: 1950 radio

Anyone know where I can get a service manual for a 1950 Studebaker Philco model S-4927 radio? I find a lot on ebay but the wrong model number, Need alignment and wiring information. I have two loose wires and can't tell where they go.

Sam's Photo fax is the go to company for information on Radios. https://www.samswebsite.com/en/photofact/browse/brand.
I checked the Philco number you have listed but they do not show any Philco radio with that number.

I have used many photofacts over the past 40 years but I can not find this model, Philco S-4927. It's in a 1950 commander.

Is that the number you found on the radio itself?
Doesn't the Champion use the same radio as the Commander?
          How many push buttons?

I'll look at my radio sheets to see if they are the same.

Philco S-4927 is Studebaker AC-1876, and it is correct for a 1950 model. If no one comes up with anything you can buy the manual from the template keeper: http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com...rtemplates.htm

Jim, Shoot me an email (address is in my profile) reminder and I will see if the schematics are in any of my books. The next few daze are quite full, but I can look after that.
