  • Electrical: 1940 president headlight switch

    Hey guys!!

I am suspecting that my headlight switch is going out. They intermittanly work. I have checked a few website for a new/used one. Is my switch the same as other models? Does anyone know where I can find one?

    Thank you!!

    Happy Driving!!!!!!

    Joe,

The switch for your 1940 President is part number 195593, which fits 1939-40 President and Commander.

I show having one of these in stock, NOS.

Send me a PM if interested.

Be sure to check the dimmer switch, too, unless the taillights are acting up also.

Just FYI you might want to visit these pages.

Studebaker headlight and other switches can be refurbished/rebuilt. Nothing to lose in giving it a try. They are pretty simple switches.
