  • Wiring diagram 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. Anyone?

Trying to get my father's grand caravan wipers working again. Horn too, and cruise if it's easy, so I can sell the thing. Anyone have a wiring diagram for this thing?

The public library usually has a set of auto repair manuals from Mitchells to Haynes etc. I use mine, and the wiring diagrams are usually included. IF not, Google the wiring diagram you need, there are places that will email you one for a small fee or Ebay usually has someone that sells the complete manual by download. Usually under $10.

Google is your friend. Have you tried that?

Another thought for a resource that may be available in your area if the local library subscribes to it is the Chilton library database which has repair information going back to 1940. As a point of information one company (Haynes) owns the Chilton and Haynes imprints.

Most of the time when it's a horn and cruise control that you have lost, 90% of the time it is a clock spring. On certain year cars Chrysler had a recall. I can't tell if there would have been a recall on your's without the VIN#. You can call your Chrysler Dealer and ask them to check or you can check it on line yourself.

As far as your wipers, there are alot of different things that can cause no wipers. Check all of your fuses. That system works through a body control module. You would need to find someone with a scan tool that can go into a body control module and see if there are any faults. I am tied up this week but if you still need a wiring diagram next week I can try to help you out.

Gary I don't know if most of the members here KNOW WHAT THE CLOCK SPRING has to do with anything. Just saying.

Neither print nor digital is available in our library :-/ The thing is a heap, I'm just trying to make it road legal so I can sell it. I found (finally) a wiring diagram on line after wading through irrelevent crap, like the National Electrical Code manuals, wiring harnesses for boats, etc, so can now diagnose the wipers.
The clock spring makes sense, since the airbag light is on too. For $46 on Fleabay, I'll give it a shot before I have it diagnosed, as it makes perfect sense.

Yep, gotta be the clock spring. Easy to replace, I did it on my father's 2000 Caravan a few years ago. Here's a video I used for reference:

Had voltage to the wiper motor, then ran 12V to the motor, nothing. Took the motor out, it was frozen (worked fine a month ago!) and was able to take it apart, clean it and lube it. Now I have wipers. Clock spring will be this weekend. Thanks everyone!
