And yes, this '55 Studebaker parked next to the Diamond Reo is owned by the same individual

The last gasp of two fine truck manufacturers. (And the Stude's [an E13?] real nice, too!)

Really like the 'sunburst look' on the Studie hood ornament!!!

Depending on the year of that Diamond REO, it is either a product of the White Motor Company (whom merged Diamond T with REO back in the late 1950s) or the newly formed Diamond REO truck company, which was later bought by Osterlund in the late 1970s whom later went out of business (if I recall correctly). Both are great looking trucks.

It was still a division of White Motors when this one was manufactured:

I used to drive a Reo mixer truck in the early seventies. The truck was built in the early-mid sixties and used a gasoline powered six cylinder of 341 cubic inches as I remember and used a 5-speed main box with a 4-speed auxiliary box. I think it was a division of White Motor by then. Really tough trucks.

Diamond Rio was the epitome of trucks back when I worked in my father's construction business in the 60's. Most of the cement mixers were either Dimond Rio or FWDs.
