Roundup ????? Is that a Canadian model ? Love them 2-door wagons! I had a '59 Villager, but it was a 4-door- - -now that was ugly !! StudeMann, get on Google and click images, then type in "Edsel station wagon". There were some beauties, especially the Bermudas. ( OOPS, found my own answer about the Roundup, just didn't know it was called that.)

There's a really clapped-out Villager wagon in a mobile home park about 4 blocks from the beach here. I think it used to be brown, but the rust makes it hard to verify

At least being strongly based on a concurrent Ford wagon; that 1958 Edsel should be a relatively easy resto.

I also think that the name "Roundup" should more appropriately be called "Pucker-up!"

I must be a strange person. I've always liked Edsel autos from the time they were introduced for the '58 model year. I guess it was because they were "different". I even liked the "horse collar" grille. I think the nicest looking Edsels were the '59 models.

I'm surprised customizers of the period didn't jump on those tail light lens for their cars.

Those taillites were used on several customs, but were rare even then.

Raprice, I like Edsels too, but the 58 is my favorite, followed by the 60, even tho' it's sort of Pontiac-looking up front. In an earlier post some time back, I told of a 58, 2 door "post" (don't shoot me Bob P ) Highway Patrol Edsel that we almost bought. It had the E-475 (torque rating, not cubic inches) engine and a 3 speed manual with OD. What a tire burner ! My Villager wagon had "E's" all over the place, it was so strange because the E's were on everything, knobs, mats, seat covers, mirrors, etc. ! FoMoCo was mighty proud of that car apparently....for a short while, ha ! There was a guy in Ft. Worth that had a 57 Ranchero that he put a 58 Edsel front end on. It looked fabulous to this THEN 19 year old Falcon Ranchero owner ! Yep, neat cars. As usual, thanks for the pictures Craig, sometimes some interesting posts are the result.

I can vouch for that. My older brother had a 58 Edsel Ranger 2 door. A friend had a 58 Ford 2 door. We bolted the front end from the Edsel to the Ford, arranged the letters down the grille to create a Fordsel. Easy peasy.
