  • Packard "Flower Car"

This may have been called a "Flower Car" used in funerals back then but makes a nice El Camino today.

Packard flower car, used in funeral processions. The gentleman beside the car is member of a Packard collectors club.

A rare bird for sure! I like the bed light set into the cab roof overhang.

Looks like that Packard custom that showed up at York a few years ago.

Get that rear bumper plated and that would be a nice 'truck'!

Def a 'Ute' as they say in Australia or a 'Bakkie' in South Africa.

Does anyone know if this was actually a Flower Car? It looks a little "Agricultural", but in a real nice way!

A person or persons took a 51 or 52 Packard Clipper and converted into a pickup truck. With 53 Clipper fins above the taillight assemblies. The fin and taillight assemblies also need rechromed. A Funeral Flower Car it isn't.

Here's the Packard custom pickup at York in 2005. It's been back after that, had more progress, not sure I've ever seen it finished. Is this the same truck as the one on Flickr? I'm looking at the back window shape.

The few flower cars I've seen ( mostly Cadillacs ) all seemed to have a lot of stainless in the box.

If I'm not mistaken, that vehicle has been done (finished/completed) as of a few years ago.It is now red and looks like it just left the factory.I'm pretty sure it's the same vehicle. If not, let me know. There was another "ElPackardo" at York in 2009 and/or 2010.That one was mostly white with black and red trim IIRC.I don't think either is the blue one in he first pic. It's a sweet ride though!!
