Nope. None of the pushbutton cars will shut off if the rfid tag gets out of range. This is specifically due to the problem you mention. What if you're driving at high speeds in congested traffic and your toddler who was playing with your key fob decided to toss it out the window?

This woman clearly panicked, and as a result wasn't able to think clearly. When someone panics, they miss the very obvious things in front of them. The brakes went out on my wife's car once. She jumped a curb and swerved around cars and did all sorts of things because she was panicked and couldn't figure out a way to stop the car. After she calmed down, she realized that she never once considered using her perfectly functional emergency brake. We get so used to driving a certain way, that when something unusual comes our way, we forget that we have options. Call me a pessimist, but in just about every situation I get into, I start thinking through worst case scenarios. What if my brakes fail and the e-brake sticks? What if there's a grease fire in the kitchen? What if someone walks into the gas station with a gun and holds it up? I figure if I have some ideas to go off in the the event of an emergency, I'll be better then most. And in the crisis situations I have been in in my life, it's paid off; I've been cool and collected enough to solve the problem in front of me, or at least brace for impact.
