Back in the 30s-60s, my Great Uncle had a lake house near Brainard, Minn (Bay Lake) and had a dual cockpit Chris Craft from the 40s-50s.
I don't know what happened to it...his widow told me the thinks it went to Oklahoma after his death in 1962.
I hope its still around. I'd guess that they were never "throw aways"...so it still might be around.
We have some home movies of it, a real beauty.

I still fish Bay Lake a couple of times a year and still see 1 or 2 of the wooden boats on that beautiful lake.

I wish the estate was still in the family, he had a great house, workshop/garage and boathouse. My dad said he had one of the first automatic boat launching systems on the late...they modified narrow gauge track and rail bogies from an Iron Range mine to get the boat out of the water. My dad must of been in high school when he helped with that during a summer vacation just before the war.
