    Have been reading the March 1997 edition of Car and Driver in which they tested General Motors EV1 ill fated electrical vehicle.

    0-30 mph 2.9 seconds
    0-40 4.3
    0-50 6.1
    0-60 8.4
    0-70 11.6
    0-80 18.5

    1/4 mile 16.7 seconds @ 79mph
    Top Speed governor limited 80 mph
    Range using 85% of battery capacity EPA city cycle 70 miles, EPA highway cycle 90 miles, Car and Driver observed range 60 miles.

    So it got a little bit more miles out of a full charge that a VW Jetta TDI gets out of one gallon of Diesel fuel, with about the same acceleration level, and a lower top speed?

    No wonder GM recalled them all and crushed them, such a threat they were to the established paradigm.

      One is saved at the Petersen in Los Angeles although all the electrics for it to run were removed by GM.
